Weekend manoeuvring courses

We most warmly invite you to two-day large-yacht-manoeuvring-courses. It is dedicated to those who are familiar with sailing and would like to increase their qualifications in order to be able to helm a yacht on their own. Course scopes manoeuvring a yacht with an engine in port, man overboard manoeuvre and others. Yacht on which the training will take place is a steel construction J-80 type, equipped with a new engine made by Japanese brand Yanmar. Mastering controlling a yacht that is 14 metres long and weights around 18 tons will let anyone easily manoeuvre virtually any sailing vessel.

Assisted cruises

Organize your first offshore cruise as a captain, invite your friends and sail together with them. Sounds good? But what if the wind increases or engine breaks down? We have prepared for You an offer which will solve these problems. A discreet assistant will go with You as a participant of the cruise – an experienced member of our team, who will always be there to help you and who will be a normal crewmember on the boat. It is the best idea for sailors who wish to start their own sailing adventure, but lack a bit of experience and skills. Total safety will be guaranteed by Your assistant. Intensive theoretical training for sailors:

We offer You full theoretical training in:

• the usage of electronic devices on the yacht such as GPS, radar, DSC radio, NAVTEX, autopilot, anemometer and others

• electronic navigation – combining GPS with a laptop and adequate navigational programs plus a usage of electronic maps in the ECS system

• traditional navigation – terrestrial and dead reckoning, along with the techniques of navigating in tidal areas

• using navigational helps such as Sailing Directions, maps, List of Lights and Fog Signals, almanacs etc.

• lifesaving techniques and ways to act properly in critical situations and rough seas

• basic information about Diesel engines

• basic information about meteorology and sailing techniques in various weather conditions

• legal aspects of organizing a cruise

• yacht constructing

The price includes 12 hours of lectures, teaching materials and two dinners. We also offer help in finding cheap accommodation near the place where the training takes place and transportation from Katowice. Price – 200 pln.
